Users log on to the WriteOnline website, and can access word prediction features, text-to-speech, and other writing tools from any computer. Each student gets his or her personal online folders as part of the WriteOnline subscription, and they can save documents either online or to their own computer. Students' user preferences are automatically stored for them online, so the program starts up as they want it every time, on any computer.
BBC Science Simulations 1 provides an opportunity for children to explore seven "virtual" science investigations. The simulations include making plants grow, exercise, building electrical circuits and more.
